Product Specific Information

For conventional torch height control, the operator had to periodically adjust the arc voltage in order to obtain an appropriate cutting height. Using Hypertherm's proprietary method, ArcGlide® Torch Height Control (THC) continuously samples arc voltages to automatically adjust arc voltages to the appropriate torch height throughout their consumable life without operator input.
Result : Optimal cutting quality, improved productivity, and reduced operating costs for plasma cutting operations, including True Hole® performance, when installing HyPerformance® plasma HPRXD®. ArcGlide THC is available in CNC integration (using Hypernet® communication) and standalone configurations.

Easy to use and install, the device provides integrated CNC software features, closed-loop servo control, and the latest technologies in system integration and hardware reliability.

System Information

Sensor THC is a torch height control system integrated into the CNC that integrates Hypertherm cutting task expertise by pressing buttons. The built-in cut diagram provides all the parameters for the plasma system and THC that reduce job setup time and operator error while increasing productivity.

  • Sensor THC enables you to achieve performance advantages without worker input, eliminating the need for extensive training and delivering the best performance for any worker in any location.
  • The operating logic is located inside the CNC, providing a simple location for the entire job setup.
